Holy Cow, It's Wednesday!

Can't believe it's already 1/2 over....this week, why is it they go by so quickly? I'm tired tonite. Busy day at the Sale Barn....which is always good, but I do come home tired. Justin as well. Zane started his first full week of wrestling practice this week...it's keeping us busy...not much time in the evenings, like I had any spare time! Oh well, I do get to read at wrestling practice, work on paperwork or visit with friends. That's not all bad! Let's all add RAIN to our prayer lists....it is awfully dry. Would love to have some moisture. I have grown to greatly Dislike Winter! I always loved the cold weather and looked forward to it and as I get older---not really diggin it. Our family loves to go camping and here is our favorite vacation spot....Tablerock Lake in Missouri and I can't hardly wait until it warms up and we are headed there! Looking so forward to it. As I head into the end of a crazy week, I will share with you what I have had to remind myself all week long....

Hello

Well, I made it thru Thanksgiving. How about you? It was good, I must say that I was ready to return to work today. I was so darn busy over the vacation that I needed to get back to work just to get rested up! Ha Ha The pictures are minimal...had a serious party foul with the camera. The batteries were all DEAD, I got 3 pics of my family, none of which turned out good enough for an xmas card and then it was done. Got no pics of my grandparents, etc. I was bummed. Oh well...had a good time anyway. Justin and I took in the Friday after Thanksgiving shopping day this year. This was a first. We didn't do the early bird thing, left town around

9 am and returned about 9 pm, our feet hurt, we were tired but we did get some serious shopping done! We had nothing done when we left that a.m. and we are close to being done! YEA. Not really sure we'll do it again, the stores looked like a tornado had gone thru them and the mall was wall to wall people. Due to the fact we shopped on Friday, I have NO Christmas decorations up. Tried to put up outside lights and after 3 strands only had half working I put my ladder away and decided it was not worth the frustration that was building! I went and bought new lights today...now finding the time to put them up will be a trick!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am enjoying my favorite time of the day...early morning. Got up at 5:30a.m. and got my ham in the oven and my bread started. I'm enjoying my nice hot cup of coffee at the moment and the sounds of NOTHING! Well, except my bread machine making dough. This is my favorite time of day. I'm getting ready to log onto one of my favorite sites www.joycemeyer.org and watch Joyce, for those who have not seen her, I encourage you to watch/listen to her. She is very real for me and lives totally for the Lord. There is not one day that she does not relate to me in some way. I like to start my day with prayer/meditation but it doesn't always happen that way, so I get my fix with Joyce on my lunch hour, evenings or sometimes never.....but I certainly try to make the effort.
Wishing everyone a Blessed Day....I hope to have pics to post of my Thanksgiving.

Give thanks to the lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

Whew!

Well, just taking a few minutes to sit down and rest while my pecan pie is baking. I've been cooking fast and furious since around 4 pm today. Not complaining....but I am looking forward to being finished! Have made.....Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Sinful Sweet Potatoes, Cranberry Salad, Ham that will go into the oven early in the a.m., Homemade Rolls that I'll do early in the a.m. as well. Mom is doing turkey, dressing, cream cheese corn, mashed potatoes and gravy. In our family, if you go away hungry, NOT OUR PROBLEM! I must say I come from a long line of Good Cooks, on both sides of the family and it has carried thru! Looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my grandparents....they are not in the best of health but are so looking forward to us coming to their house.
Just have to know.....does your family do bread or cornbread dressing? We are a cornbread dressing family....of course I think it is the BEST! I certainly hope everyone has a very Blessed Thanksgiving.....I can't wait to eat good food, spend time with family and watch Football! Better check on that pie....Pecan is my favorite, wouldn't want it to get too done!!!!!

Big Picture!

Well, trying to spruce up the blog and have inserted the biggest picture ever! Not sure exactly what to do about it....Oh well, I do love it. I took it about a year ago at our friends house, The Niederee's Canyon. I took the boys there to take pictures and utilized Old Glory for a background and thought this looked neat. Never took time to take them there this year for pics. Can't even seem to find time to get a picture for a Christmas card. Has been a completely CRAZY day...have been running since this morning. Actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow to Rest! I was starting to get stressed today thinking of all the things there is to do...and then I went to our Community Thanksgiving Church Service tonite at our church, the minister that spoke reminded us that thru all the crazy times, when it seems like we don't have anything to be thankful for.........we really do! Isn't that true? I thank God I live in a free country where I was able to run crazy all day, taking the boys here or there, going to church, etc. I challenge you all to think about what you are grateful for this Thanksgiving season and give credit where credit is due....GOD! The minister tonite said it has been scientifically proven that people that are thankful for all things are happier! We should be more like that. I have so many things to be thankful for, I could write for days!!

A work in progress

Well, this will be a continual work in progress for me. I'll eventually figure it out. Notice the key word in that sentence.....EVENTUALLY! Looking forward to hearing from family and friends on this. My goal is to keep this updated with information and pics of my family. Have a great Saturday. Headed to church for the Annual Bazaar, looking for something neat and good to eat? Come to 904 Alexander, Winfield...we can help you!
p.s. forgot to mention on the previous post...Angel was added to the family Memorial Weekend of this year. She's quite the dog!

I Did It!

Well, I have entered into the bloggers world. I must say until about 10 months ago, I had no idea what a blog was. Now, they are everywhere! It seems to be a great way to share information and updates on the family. I hope that you enjoy reading and posting this.
