Wordy Wednesday

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Luke 23:34

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkmess came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining.  And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.  Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit."  When he had said this, he breathed his last.
Luke 23:44-46

Not So Wordless Wednesday

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Psalm 51:10-11

I. Am.

I am staring at my dog thru the window
She's playing with something that I hope is dead by now
I am thankful for warm temps this week
I am still learning a lot of NEW things at my job
I am listening to my dryer run
I am watching a beautiful sunset
I am certain I will never catch up on laundry
I am ready to work in my garden
I am thankful for my home
I am seeing new leaves bud out on the trees
I am needing to clean up my supper dishes
I am thankful I got my hair cut
I am still believing for a miracle
I want to see my son healed of diabetes
I am excited the KSU Wildcats made the tournament
I am wanting to scrapbook
I want a Spring Break
I am thankful for a husband who loves me
regardless of all my shortcomings
I am running again
I want to run a race in a few weeks
I want to watch American Idol
I miss my girlfriends at my old job
I am thankful for farm fresh eggs
I am thinking about wearing flip flops
Today I am

40

 I don't feel it!

Seeds, Birthdays and Such

My sweet little nephew, Ben
He turned 3 this past weekend.

CB and I took a walk last week to the railroad tracks
north of our house.  For some reason, we are both
fascinated by the tracks.

See.  I like them.  I like taking their picture!

Then last Tuesday, I decided I better get my seeds started.
I opted to try a few in egg cartons.  I'm not sure how great
it's going to work.  They have yet to sprout and it's been a week.
The blue tabs  are my markers...I used old paint samples and cut
them into strips.

 I {Heart} Gurney's seed catalog.
I could browse thru it for hours!

I am a believer in good potting soil/mix.
Miracle Gro is the choice.

Proud Momma

This silly boy of mine is becoming a great livestock judger.
{Not that you could tell by this picture!}
Just like his daddy.
My hubby was pretty good(in his day) ha ha and went to college and judged for Hutchinson Comm College and then received a scholarship to judge at Kansas State for 2 years.  Anyways...
ZB is doing livestock judging in high school now and has had 2 contests this week.  Wednesday, the Freshman team took 2nd(he is on the freshman team) but he didn't feel very good about how he did, I think he was a little nervous, he even admitted it.  They went again today.  His team had 4 of their 5 team members place in the top 10 (he was 6th) and their team placed first!  He said he felt a lot more confident today.  I was so proud.  There is nothing like that feeling~being so proud of your kids when they are doing well at something.  I literally swell up with joy!
Good Job ZB, I love you and am so proud of you!!!
