Wordless Wednesday...

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

the old man is snoring! Yep it's all true. WOW, my back yard is has a lot of water standing in it this morning.

Yesterday we got thru our auction without any rain! YEA! We went to my Grandma's to get our boat out...it rained on us most of the way...till we were about 4 miles from Grandma's and it stopped. So we were able to get the boat out, do our stuff and re-tarp and all in the sunshine!
Before we left, JB says, "this boat tarp is not too great, we'll probably get by this year, but we'll need to get a new one next year," I'm saying, "really? I don't think it's so bad." We leave Grandma's house (after a nice visit) and get about 2 miles down the road, which I must say is a narrow, county road that is heavily traveled...when JB looks in the rear view mirror and says....we'll anyway... the boat tarp is torn in about 3 places and blowing all over the place! So we proceed to find somewhere to pull over...No shoulder, nothing available...find a little spot in front of a house(ditch that wasn't too deep) and hop out and start unhooking what's left of the straps and tarp...well of course there are life jackets and stuff in the boat, so we pack all that up, I wad up the tarp...stuff it in front of my seat in a little spot so it doesn't blow out...and off we go again! The boat and trailer were nice and dirty when we got home, not now! The rain has cleaned it right off I'm sure!

The boys are with my folks...needed some MeMe and PaPa time and decided they would stay 2 nights instead of 1. I'm missing my boys but They LOVE being at the farm....sure makes me want a farm that much more! Anyway, today is the day we get our 4-H lambs. JB sells a Club lamb sale in Yates Ctr and the lady we buy our lambs from brings sheep to this sale and delivers ours there...so anxious to see our little lambs. Will get pics. Last year it was cold and rainy when we brought them home...their pen is a muddy mess...unfortunately. I haven't watched any weather but I sure hope it warms up this week and dries out their pen.

Gotta run...need to stop by the church before we head out of town. Have a Blessed Sunday.

Wordless Wednesday...

I'm Back

Well, being without my computer for a week was ok...but thankful to have it back! I've been missing my blogger buddies! Hope all is well---we're doing great! Can't believe it's Easter tomorrow. Looks like cold and rain for here. Which is totally a bummer...we always have a big cookout and games at my folks and no go this year. Just going to be my family and my sister and her family, Grandma and Uncle. Will be nice, but would be Better if we could be outside! May have to get the cards and/or dominos out.

Had such a great day today...we went fishing with my f-i-l and his friend"Catfish". He's an older gentleman that is a dear family friend and he lives up to his nickname...he fishes Every day. We went over east to the ranch where we hauled our little ladies to on Friday and there are so many great ponds. The boys were not real excited that Mom was going...but I never get to go and decided I was headed out with them! They were really not happy when I started reeling in the fish! ha ha I pretty much ruined their "guy" trip!! Not really. We had a blast and JB said I looked like I was having more fun than the boys...I think I was! Didn't get hardly any pics...my memory cards are...not here. Long Story short...I'm getting them tomorrow!

Mowed my yard today...in a long sleeved tshirt and sweatshirt over it and gloves...and was still cold when I was done. Oh my gosh, my yard looks so much better now, but I'm not a fan of mowing in a sweatshirt! I am so anxious to get out in the yard and do some work...but not when I have to dress for winter. It can wait.

Well, I am going to go fold some laundry, etc, etc...Have a Blessed Easter Sunday.
