Grandma's 91st Birthday

What a great day. We had a picnic/cookout today for my Grandma Birdell's Birthday and had a great time. She looked beautiful and had a ball, she had lots of family and several of her friends(of 60yrs) there to celebrate with her. We couldn't have asked for a better day to enjoy outside either. She was thrilled with her party. I love you Grandma!!

Wilmore Opry at Medicine Lodge

What a fun evening...mom and I went to Medicine Lodge last night to sing at the Wilmore Opry. Mom played in the band and I got to sing. It was nice and they had a nice crowd there. Here's a few pics from it...they turned out a bit dark. Tried to tweak them but....anyway. I had forgotten how much fun it is to sing with a live band---makes we want to get in a band again. But then I bring myself back to the real world of...being a mom, cook, chauffer, secretary, jack of all trades, etc and then the thought is gone!

The band was.....Daryl Schiff, Gene Winter, Randy Parks, Vic Erickson, Rick Schiff and Mom.

Great Day

We've had a great day today! The boys came home from my folks around noon...we had some dinner and took off for the sale barn, the boys thought they ought to throw in a fishing line and check out the situation. Justin and I fed cattle, then we finished cleaning up trees that had been cut down. Angel had a great time running in the pasture. We're home, cooking some supper and it's a great feeling to all be home and not be rushing anywhere! Sharing a few pics from our day.

Have a Blessed Easter. Praise the Lord, Jesus is ALIVE!

10 Things About Me...

Well, I've been Tagged... by my dear friend, Paula. I'm to share 10 things about myself and list 5 people to tag at the end. Here goes. The fact I have to limit this to 10 should be interesting!!

1. I love to take photographs...of just about anything. (paula, we need to get together)
2. I, like my friend Paula, love to think about how to decorate in my home, but when I start the project. It never turns out like I imagine!
3. I love to sing and used to be in a band and would love to record in a studio.
4. First thing I tend to notice about someone...their teeth and if they've brushed!
5. Justin says I'm weird because I usually brush my teeth 3 times daily!
6. Had never seen a true wrestling match until last year when Zane started wrestling.
7. I love a good belly laugh!
8. My dream home would be ONE level, no stairs except to the basement.
9. Plumbers Butt is something I can't stand to see, but can't NOT look!
10. I don't really like to watch movies.

I'm tagging......

Dana I've known her longer than anyone in Winfield
Alicia Scrapbook Queen
Lisa My bible study buddy
Mary T My great friend at church
Leta My mother-in-law that makes BEAUTIFUL quilts

Tag...you're it.

It's Spring Break!

I was home most all day today and it was AWESOME! I've gotten some fun pics of the boys in the last couple of days. Wanted to share them. Loving the time change. In fact, they are still outside right now playing pretty hard. Went to Ark City last night to the College. There was a speaker there, David Van Koevering, the man who invented the synthesizer and many other things. He was awesome. He aligns science with the word of God and it's truly amazing. I never looked at or thought about the things he talked about and it was great. God is truly working thru this man and his wife and I'm so thankful I got to go...wasn't able to make it today or tomorrow. Oh well, would highly recommend it.

Cutie

Isn't this an adorable baby? My sis and her hubby and my nephew have a new puppy....Rocko. First time to see him was tonite for me. He is such a fluffy, cute and onrey thing! Pics didn't turn out as well as I hoped. Oh well, you can still see him pretty well.

How about this warm, sunny, beautiful weather?!?!? LOVE IT! I just feel better knowing the sun is shining. My neighbor and I are back to walking....I'm very sore in the leg area but it's a good pain. We've been doing this for about 6 years? Something like that. We go 4 days a week at 5:30 a.m. Usually about 2-2 1/2 miles. We haven't walked much since December. The weather has not been our friend this winter. We take our dogs, solve our own and the world's problems and have devotional time. It's a great way to start our day. Thanks Teresa for hanging in there with me!!

Can't believe it...I'm going to be 36 on Friday. I actually had to stop and think about how old I was really going to be this year. I never thought my mind would be so cluttered with other things that I would forget bdays, ages, etc, even my own! Oh well. Many, Many things to be thankful for...my family, my church, my friends, my job, my home, etc. We need to appreciate the small things in life. Later....

Hello

What happened to the warmer weather?!?! Have I mentioned lately how sick I am of being cold? Hope all is well with everyone. I'm doing much better...still a little busy for my liking..but it's better. We officially have a new bookkeeper at the sale barn, she started Monday. Bless her heart--she has me to train her! Lord, help us both. I'm bummed...I don't even have any new pics to post either. I feel like I'm pretty boring at this point...but follow me around for a day and that's not the case! Just not doing anything fun or anywhere to take any fun pics! Laundry calling me..."Yoo Hoo....come and put me in the dryer....Yoo Hoo, I need to be folded", I don't like to use the words "shut-up" except.....when the laundry his calling! Ha Ha Have a good evening!
