Band Concert

Tonite was the 5th-6th grade band concert. They were joined by our city band. It was really nice and I really enjoyed it. I was so pleased with the kids. I remember well my first concert in 5th grade and I'm not sure it was this good! I thought it was especially nice our city band(which is really good) joined the kids. My hubby thinks I'm crazy...If I had the time, I would join the city band! I just love music and I loved band...yep I was a band nerd...proud of it..paid 2 yrs of tuition and books with it. JB gives me lots of teasing over it but I think he's just jealous!!!

Like My New Door?

I bought this ol' screen door at an auction in a garage full of...shall we say stuff?! Anyway, my treasure for $1.00. Wasn't exactly sure where I was going to put it, but I think it works in the front of the house between the garage doors. Let me know what you think.

A Trip to the Zoo

Well, we did the Zoo trip today and couldn't have asked for better weather. It was simply BEAUTIFUL! Had a great time and I am beat tonite. This head cold/allergy whatever it is ---is trying to get me down. I refuse!

To all my Fellow Mother's...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I hope that each one of you has a blessed Sunday. I'm going to have my mom and Justin's mom for supper tomorrow night. I'm so looking forward to it. I have hardly seen much of either of them in awhile. Life is too crazy, I shouldn't let it be that way I guess. It will be nice to get everyone together and visit.

School Field Trip

Ok, Tomorrow I'm headed to Wichita with Dana. We are going to the Sedgwick County Zoo for the field trip for our boys (2nd grade). Looks like possible thunderstorms in the a.m. and clearing off by afternoon. You know, the time we head home! Cutter is so excited. It seems that he and I don't get a lot of one on one time like we should. Zane's Diabetes seems to take front and center alot of the time--He handles it pretty well, but it has me thinking I certainly need to make a stronger effort for time that is just US! I'm sure I'll have new pics to post of the zoo. Cutter wants to go to the Tropical Rain forest FIRST! He thinks he's going to get one of those parrots to talk! Isn't that hilarious!??? He truly does make me laugh. He doesn't want to see the tiger or be anywhere near there since it's all over the news awhile back, they killed some people...at a zoo. He certainly has not forgot any of that information, but he can't remember to brush his teeth or pick up his room!?!?!?!? Have a great day!

Frog Huntin

Zane spent the weekend w/Meme and Papa. Today he and a friend went to one of the ponds to shoot...something or another and came back with this nice big frog! I thought it was a cute picture. I'm sure the frog wishes he were dead...if he's not already.

Only the Good Lord Can...

As I looked out my front window Friday morning this is what I saw.

Only God can turn my beautiful redbud tree into a beautiful green leaf tree overnight. That got me thinking about the things that start out one way and end up another.....
