My View

Every evening

while I am cooking supper

I look out my window

and I see this

beautiful painting

created by God

I soak in the beauty

and give thanks

and look forward to the next evening.

Every morning

as I'm getting ready

to head out the door

usually in a rush

I see this gorgeous painting

Once again

I soak it in

give thanks to God

and start my day!

When was the last time that you took a look at the beauty around you?

That's the story.
I literally can NOT comment on blogs...I've signed out, signed in, doesn't matter if I'm at work, or home, I cannot comment on any blogs...So...to my fellow bloggers who are posting great stuff.  I wish I could tell ya~this is kind of like having duct tape over my mouth.  Hhhmmmmm.  I wonder....

12 years ago today

I went into labor around 11p.m.

I was up and down all night.

JB slept like the baby I was about to have.

{grin}

My water broke about 3 am and about 6am

I told JB he better get his shower.

We needed to get to the hospital

He showered, we dropped ZB off at the babysitter's house.

Got to the hospital around 7am

JB was making phone calls to re-arrange

his appointments to look at cattle that morning.

The OB dept. in our local hospital had been pretty quiet

when I walked in, only one nurse on duty.

Someone came in about an hour before me and

another 1 hour after.  Things were hopping around there.

At 9:07 a..m. this sweet, onrey, basketball playing,

gun shootin, smart boy made his way into this world!

Bedroom Re-do

We have been in our home now for 7months.

The first painting and fixing up was done in the

boys' bedrooms.  They both got paint and new bedding.

Their rooms look great.  Except for the celery green shag

carpet.  But hopefully in the next year we can carpet the whole

house.  Then we did the bathroom conversion into a master bath

with a tile shower.  WE LOVE IT.  It's wonderful.

We ended up with the smallest of the 3 bedrooms so we could have the

"master bath".  When we moved in we just kind of "stuck" our

furniture in and called it good.

We decided to tackle the painting and re-arranging on New Year's Eve.

Did I mention that EVERY wall in this house is/was glossy STARK white?

Well, except for the walls with DARK paneling on them.

Ahem.

Anywhoo.

You can see the difference the paint makes.

It was hard to believe that New Year's Eve it

was warm enough to open windows while we painted!

Helped the drying process a lot.

JB is the trimmer/I am the roller. 

He is much neater with the paintbrush,

I'm a roll and slop kind of gal!  lol

This is the kind of, sort of, finished project. 

The bed is not centered in front of the window.  I have decided

I'm starting a new trend.  The off-centered look.

If we center the bed...I have ZERO room to get out! 

The hideous light above our bed will be gone and a ceiling fan installed

the green carpet will go away...eventually.  I haven't hung anything on the walls yet. 

Will do that soon.  Despite of all that.  I am so happy with the outcome.

My new comforter(out of the clearance bin) is great.

Another checkmark off my list of things to do!
