Last Saturday

I woke up early.  As usual.
I decided to get up and study.
No, I'm not taking any classes, but I should be.
I got my coffee and got online and went straight to
Digital Photography website and started in reading about
aperture, depth of field and shutter priority.
I mean, I've had my camera nearly 9 months
and hardly gotten off of AUTO {grin}

So, more coffee, and I began to make myself some notes
Cuz that's how I roll.
Reading, writing, reading, reading, reading
and hope that I finally get it!
I decided to take my camera with me to do chores.
So I could practice. Practice. practice
I took lots of pictures, some good, some not so good
I am certainly not Great with my camera out of auto mode
but I'm learning...and I ended up with a few shots I liked.

This particular picture I liked
Why you say???
Well, because I wanted the blurred effect.
And I got it.  On purpose! {smile}

I am fairly certain I have forgotten most of what I wrote down
and supposedly learned last Saturday.  But.  I will go again
and keep practicing.

Way to go! It looks great. Best way to learn is to shoot, look, delete, and repeat until you see one you like! ;)

Love the picture. I love pics of fences and barb wire, barns, horses, I guess you get the point. I am going to be taking a photography class soon. Cause I love taking pictures and take pictures all the time but would like to actually learn some stuff about my camera and different ways to take pics, etc.

Well done! I love a shallow depth of field in certain photos...this being a perfect example! I would love to take a photography class some day. I hope you'll share much more!

You did good! I have trouble with any settings not auto too. I need to study up. Keep taking them and post! Love it! Blessings.

Great picture!

My camera is too complicated for me. I have a lot to learn as well!

You did good. I am camera challenged. They scare me..thus I just shoot in auto...maybe one day I will step out into the wild side.

You go girl!! There IS a lot to learn, and it can be overwhelming, but just keep chuggin' along. Practice is the only way for me to get things to stick in my brain :) Great shot too, I love the colors!! I am so proud of your for venturing out of the green box. It's scary, but you're doing great!

Great pics - and great that you are studying. I almost took a photo class at the college - but after I get home, feed, and get the daily chores done - I do not want to go back to town! So...you've inspired me to do what you do!
Have a great weekend!

That's such a good idea to read up on your camera online! I want to upgrade my camera, but I'm intimidated by terms like, aperture, depth of field and shutter priority!!!! Maybe one day! Thanks so much for stopping by! I would have loved to see your shelf. I bet it's gorgeous. I found something similar at a thrift store and passed on it. I've been kicking myself ever since! LOL
