That's what I'm saying about this ridiculous weather we're experiencing right now. It's nearly April and what do we get? A silly snow/ice/rain/wind storm that decided to make it's way across the midwest. My boys were out of school by 1pm yesterday...it was mainly just rain/wind, then...by evening it turned into sleet and more wind/loss of power for many people, praise the LORD we have NOT lost power!! The wind was really bad last night, lots of trees and limbs down all over this area...looks like a war zone. My pine tree in the back yard still has branches laying on the ground...

There's an inch of ice on everything...and this morning we left to go to do chores around 8 and it was snowy, by the time we got out to the barn...started feeding...the wind picks up Again...and proceeds to sand blast us with ice, what the heck!!??? What happened to the 5-10 inches of snow we were going to get? Not that that's any better. Poor ladies are cold and wet...snow has got to be better for the cattle than rain and a north wind at 40mph. I felt so bad for them...they quickly ate and took off for the trees! We put a few bales of hay out...which didn't work so well either...the hay is so covered in ice you can't cut the strings off...anyway, back home and so glad...planning on a nice nap, left over bowl of warm chili and apple crisp(in reverse order) and cook up some yummy potato soup and cornbread for supper.

I'm going to go listen to the sound of ice pellets hit my front windows and curl up with a nice fuzzy blanket and Pray there's a John Wayne movie on!!! Later Gators!!!!

Yep, that's what I've been! Busy as can be! Like everyone else I know. What's the deal? I really think it's just the time of year for me, spring brings many auctions which is a blessing, it brings longer days...YEA and....well, Spring is just busy! I'm not sure where the month of March has gone. The first weekend I spent in Branson at the Branson Victory Campaign...WOW it was one of the most wonderful weekends I've spent. The Holy Spirit was present and it was awesome! They talked ALOT about our current "financial" situation and how we are NOT to live of the world...we are of GOD...he is our true provider and if we continue to seek Him he will never leave us nor forsake us! We will be BLESSED! What a wonderful message to give out...if only everyone Believed it. I'm working on doing my best to set an example...Praise the Lord for Grace!!! I bought several books and can't wait to read them! I purchased "Power of a Praying Parent" by Stormie Ormartian...that is an awesome read that I will have by my bedside forever! Highly recommend it if you don't already own one. Bought a book on Fasting...Veeerrryyy interesting and looking forward to seeking the Lord on that as well. Several others that I can't recall off the top of my head but will share when I get to them.

I haven't seen my precious new nephew for over a week...he's home and doing great. My sis is doing well too! Bless his heart, he had a rough start but is going strong! Life is so busy with my own little family, I haven't had time to go and visit...that will happen soon...but not soon enough.

My cousin from Georgia was here in KS with her family for about a week I think and I never had a chance to see them either...the evening I thought I would go see them...they flew out at 5! Just my luck.

The month of April is looking B-U-S-Y as well. An auction every Saturday, 1 Hog sale on a Sunday and 1 sheep sale on a Sunday...we will also get our 4-H lambs that day. JB and ZB went north last Sunday to "pick" out this years lambs...CB and I stayed home to do chores which took us most of the morning, missed church, decided I needed some good dirt/manure for my flower beds, etc and started hauling dirt from the barn. I pretty much worked like I like to, but am not used to last weekend! It was all good and I was good and tired when I hit the hay Sunday night.

So, are you feeling like your head is swimming yet? Mine is, I think I'm typing in total INCOMPLETE sentences and at random! ha ha

I wish I had some fun new pics to share, but I have been soooooo bad about NOT taking pics lately. I'm loving the new camera, Laura(Elephant Juice) has gotten. A Canon Rebel-- It's just what I am wanting as well. VERY COOL! Check out her blog. It's great. She did some newborn shots for a friend and they are so precious! She is one talented Lady--check her out, she does lots of neat stuff and has the cutest little boy!!

Well, I'm going to stop rambling now. I think I might just go and sit on my couch and read a book...sounds good huh? Hope it really happens! ha ha

I always want to post pics on the "Wordless Wednesday" but that never quite works out for me...so I'm doing it on Thursday. Ha! (smile)

Introducing...

This is Ben...isn't he precious!????!!?!?! We certainly think so. I finally got to hold and kiss him last night. Not for very long, he's jaundice now and under the lights and has an IV for his antibiotics...he has a touch of pneumonia. Say a prayer for he and his momma...they should get to go home on Wed. We made a flying trip down to see them after our auction yesterday afternoon. Went and ate supper for my bday, bought a new office chair and I got an iPod shuffle! Had a great day and sooooooo enjoyed the gorgeous weather we had even if we were working!

Also, including some pics of my treasures I bought yesterday! I love old Junk. As my husband calls it! I will plant flowers in probably all of the old buckets, funnels and chicken waterers I bought and the box...probably going to put chimenea wood in it and let CB play in it! He thinks he's in a western movie! ha ha I just thought it had a lot of charm and I'll figure something out!

Baby News

Mr Ben Delane made his arrival around 11:56 pm on March 10th...after a long evening of labor, my sister had to have a c-section.....Uuuuggggghhhhh...he was breech. Anyway...everyone is doing great and he's just precious...too bad I don't have a picture...we didn't get to see him except thru the nursery window that night...I will have one hopefully very soon. He weighed 7# 13 oz. and has chubby little cheeks and a head full of dark curly hair!!! Just like my sister and I did. He reminds me of Lana's baby pics. I'm so darn busy I can't get down to see them till...not sure when. Maybe this weekend..we have an auction Sat...but it's also my bday so maybe we can go eat somewhere that night...and see the baby!

Yes, the big 37 is soon to be here...just another day really...thankful to God I'm still going strong and healthy!

Maybe this weekend...I'll get some serious posting done...have so much to share and not enough time!!! Loving the new washer thus far...but haven't really got to use it much...but so far sooooo Good! I'll post a pic later. Have a blessed day and weekend!

I will post soon...but this is short and oh so sweet...my sister is in labor and I'm going to have a new nephew very soon! I'm headed out shortly...the hospital is about an hour away-she's at a 4 1/2---well, I just got a text...now 5 1/2!!!! She progressing about 1 cm an hour...at this rate. She is waiting on the doc to break her water...my poor mom is very sick with a terrible sinus infection and can't go...she is beside herself...have ssooooooooooooooo much to share about my last 7 days...will have to wait a little longer! Say a prayer for my sis and her family...this is her husband's first baby and he's oh so excited!
