School

It has begun!  I think we were some of the last ones to start!
ZB started on Monday and had orientation.
CB started on Wednesday.

This is last years 1st day of school picture.
I thought they looked so handsome and grown-up.

Then I look at this year's picture.
What the Heck?
CB has grown alot!

He's a big 6th grader this year.
He goes to the Intermediate School
It's 5th and 6th grade only.

Then.
I have.
A Freshman.
Repeat.
WHAT THE HECK?
ZB has changed
ALOT in the last year.

Becoming a young man instead of a boy.
{wow}
I am not ready for him to be in High School
I have been dragging my feet about it.
He just takes it all in stride.
I'm glad.

House pics #2

Here are a few more pics of my house

This is a close up of the drapes that were
EVERYWHERE in our house.  These are
actually still hanging in the basement.  For now.
I hope to have something else up soon...but
my list of replacements is quite long.

This is in the basement...looking into my scrapbook room.
It's far from where I want it to be, BUT.
I am so thankful to have somewhere to put it!!

This is the other HUGE room in our basement.
The game room.  Pool table, foose ball table, the boys
have set up their Wii.  This room I really like, it's fun.
Great spot for the boys and their friends to hang out.
Yes, the carpet is RED.  Actually...
I kind of like it!  Wouldn't want it everywhere,
but for a game room, it's great.

This is looking opposite of my scrapbook room.
A HUGE room that needs HELP.
Notice the hodge podge of things.
I am stalking Craig's List for a used Leather Sectional
for down here...once again a HUGE room and that means
BIG furniture.  There is a fireplace back and left of this picture.
Will be a great spot for football watching this Fall!

They are hopefully going to start on our master bath in the next few weeks.
I have everything but the faucets picked out.
I am very excited.
I want a shower.
Now.
Seriously.
Peace Out.

I'm counting...

"Counting what?"  You say.

Days.

"What Days?"  You say.

Days until Bluegrass begins.

"What is Bluegrass?"  You say.

Great times with family.  Camping.  Good food.
Good Music. Little Sleep.

It's decorating your campsite.
We are the Stumble Inn camp

It's wandering around our fairgrouds which happen to be
PACKED with campers, too many to count and listening to
great music.  Some are your favorites.  Some are new.

Some don't even need a tent.  They just like to walk along
and whenever they get the notion, they stop and play.

Some make their own decorations.  I think they
are recycling!

If you love music...not just bluegrass music.  This IS the place to be.  You will hear more
music in this town over the next month than you can shake a stick at!  I am happy to say that this
is going to be my 15th Bluegrass!  It's a biggie too.  Yep.  40 years in Winfield this year!
They are bringing a lot of good music...not that they don't always have it anyway.
If you are ever given the opportunity to come.  Please take advantage of it.
You won't be disappointed!
Check out the web.

Tree Trimmin

Have I ever mentioned that my youngest son
can be dramatic?
Now you know.
Just look at his face.
We have a line of hedge trees on the east side of the driveway
When we moved in, they were a bit overgrown
So JB and the boys commenced to tree trimmin

Oh Look, CB has been scratched.
Yes, there were thorns on those hedge limbs.
But. Seriously.

Doesn't he look like he L*O*V*E*S his work?
{grin}

JB is doing the trimming, the boys were the picker-up-ers
Have you ever been the picker-up-er-er?
I have.

Several pickup loads later....we had a nice
big brush pile

Note the nice green corn crop in the back.
Today.  It is burned up.  Nothing produced.
Nada. Zilcho. Zero.

It's a little hard to see, but look close...
This is the dirt line on CB's arm.
His wrist is the clean{er} part of the arm.
