Proud Momma

This silly boy of mine is becoming a great livestock judger.
{Not that you could tell by this picture!}
Just like his daddy.
My hubby was pretty good(in his day) ha ha and went to college and judged for Hutchinson Comm College and then received a scholarship to judge at Kansas State for 2 years.  Anyways...
ZB is doing livestock judging in high school now and has had 2 contests this week.  Wednesday, the Freshman team took 2nd(he is on the freshman team) but he didn't feel very good about how he did, I think he was a little nervous, he even admitted it.  They went again today.  His team had 4 of their 5 team members place in the top 10 (he was 6th) and their team placed first!  He said he felt a lot more confident today.  I was so proud.  There is nothing like that feeling~being so proud of your kids when they are doing well at something.  I literally swell up with joy!
Good Job ZB, I love you and am so proud of you!!!

Awesome - I sucked at livestock judging, I think it is hard! My daughter is in her 2nd year of it and loves it!

Awesome to hear! If you are good at judging it can lead to great opportunities.

Oh, please keep us posted on his livestock adventures! We're a judging family too. DH was a ferocious horse judger in his day for Texas A&M University. I was a lowly meat judger. LOL. Our daughter is taking horse evaluation in preparation for the horse judging team in college. She loves giving reasons. Yes, she's an odd duck. Cheering you on ZB!
