What a Messy Weekend

It was a messy weekend...but productive.
I have sore arms from all the destruction,
I mean construction we did!
We are living in a HUGE mess but I am
trying to keep my eye on the big prize
A FINISHED HOME!

This is how mid week began(last week)
JB and ZB yanking off the paneling
in the living room.

This is the narrow hallway looking toward the kitchen.
This wall went from end of the house to the other.
It's very dark and ugly.
On the back side of the wall is a HUGE built in cabinet that
we are keeping

ZB and I went to OKC Thursday morn and when we returned
that evening this is what I saw!  OPEN SPACE~
YES!

Terrible pic but you kind of get the idea.

The big cabinet we are keeping will move right~
against the wall

What do ya think, either of these better than the green bean carpet?
{grin}

I'm certain, carpet in a kitchen must be a sin
yes you already saw this pic but I can't seem to delete
the previous one.  We had about 450 sq feet of this stuff to SCRAPE up.

here is another duplicate..I hate new blogger, can't find my way around and can't delete pics.

Oh! Keep us posted! I need all the motivation can get! I SO want to tear out the paneling in this old ranch house, but there is no way it's coming off so nicely and neatly as yours and I'm afraid the sheet rock will be a big mess underneath and I'm on my own on this project. DH is covered with 200 sections to tend to. Here's a thought: y'all want to take a vacation? I know a ranch you could visit. :) Excited for the fun changes for you!

I agree, carpet doesnt belong in a kitchen or a bathroom! Our home is being remodeled right now so were in the guest house and not only is it tiny, it has carpet everywhere!

It looks great!

Whew! Lots of hard work. Just what are you going to do with all of that beautiful green carpeting? Surely you could reuse that stuff? ;)
