What the Heck?

Ok, I changed the background of my blog and lost all of my "stuff" I had on the side. Widgets I think they called them. What did I do wrong? Someone...who is computer, blogger, techno saavy...please help me!?!?!?!?! I can't believe I did that. I'm not even sure what I did?

Welcome to the world of blogger frustration. Unfortunately, you can't get it all back. :( There are ways to save your template before you change things, but I still found that to be a hassle. I'm not sure if it 's because I have a Mac and it doesn't work quite the same, or if I'm just dumb. :P

The easiest thing I've found to do is http://thecutestblogontheblock.com all you do is follow their super easy directions for the free backgrounds and you get to keep all your stuff. You have to deal with the cheesy little button on the left hand corner, but that's not near as annoying as losing all your stuff.

I wish I was more savvy as far as saving your templates and adding the gadgets all back in, but that requires some general knowledge and understanding of HTML. Once upon a time I could look at it without crossing my eyes, but not any more. It makes them glaze over and then I have to eat like a dozen cookies to snap out of it. :P

Usually if you're just changing your background to a solid image and say you have the host site url, you can pick a template like minima and hunt around in the html for the body background part, and change just that. I've done that before and not lost anything. If I can find the website again, I'll give you a link to a girl who has some helpful tips and ways to do all that...

She's got a lot of fun info on how to do HTML, and how to change your background, where to find templates, and all sorts of other stuff that will make you go completely insane.

Try this one:

Oh I wish i could help....but I need help all the time myself! If it was not for my girls I would be totally without a blog, or I might have one, but it would be very very boring. Ha
I just love that picture of your screen door and the flowers. It is wonderfully....I don't know what but it is wonderful!
