Older.
I am knocking on the door.
of the big 4-0.
In many ways I feel older.
In other ways I can't believe I'm 39!
Until the last few years, my dear, sweet darlin
had convinced my boys that I was 4 years older
than him. LOL
I had a great birthday supper last night at my folks house.
Today, I had a good birthday dinner with 2 dear friends.
Tonite, hubby and ZB aren't feeling so great.
I am needing to continue on the laundry and house cleaning.
I need to get organized for a little scrapbook
get-a-way this weekend with some friends.
I need.I need.I need.
I want. I want. I want.
What I really need to do is get on my knees and be in prayer for those
suffering from great devastation. It is literally everywhere I look.
What I want is for everyone to know the Lord and seek his face.
Has anyone else noticed these things? I feel so guilty at times for
not doing more to win people to God.
Before I can do that...I must look at myself. Am I showing the light
of Jesus in my words/actions? Do people see something about me that is different and want
whatever it is?
I know I certainly don't Shine at all times. But I am thankful that I am a
work in progress.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3
Isn't this gorgeous? Sunset on our way home from
the basketball tournament Saturday night.
We were in the Flint Hills.
Beautiful Country.
CB's Team. He is back row, 3rd from the left.
These boys played their little hearts out!
We have been on this traveling team. Didn't get
to make it to a lot of tournaments~which was great
for us. There are three 4th graders and then six
5th graders. So we are a young team. All of our
tournaments were against 5th-6th grade teams.
We decided at the last minute to play this tournament(they had a cancellation)
haven't played in over 1 month. We had 3 games. First game was a blow out-we were
the ones blown out(let me say that the boys had not won a game all year)
The team we played had 4 boys as tall as me(5'6"ish ;). CB is the tallest
on our team at 5'ish. Second game, we play with them, it's a 1-3 point game
until about 7 mins left and we just kind of fell apart. But played MUCH better!
3rd game, playing for 5th/6th place. CLOSE game the whole time,
we get behind 3 points, we shoot a 3 pointer at the buzzer and tie the game!
O*V*E*R*T*I*M*E
2 minutes.
We win by 1 point!!!!
We were sooooooo EXCITED and so Proud!
Great effort and so much fun to watch!
Well, I should have posted a warning about LONG POST.
Be Blessed this week and better yet...BE a Blessing to someone!!

Hope you have a happy one and we will have a good weekend this weekend!!
Happy and Blessed Birthday my sweet friend. May God bless all your hopes and dreams!
Yes I feel it too. I pray on the way to work, I pray at work - God puts things on my heart (to intercess for others) and sometimes it's such a strong feeling. The Lord Jesus is returning soon - which will be a wonderful day - but I have many friends and family who haven't asked Jesus into their heart. And that to me is the scary part!
Excellent post - good word - lovely pictures!
happy birthday!
yes, i'm praying for japan over here...and for the lost everywhere...feeling sad and overwhelmed!

Well Happy Birthday! May you be abundantly blessed in the coming year! And don't let the number 40 scare you - it's actually a pretty good year! Enjoy your scrapping retreat and don't forget to share your pages with us!
Happy birthday from a 42 yo. Age is just a number Honey! I really enjoyed my 30's. They were the best years of my life. Although I find I can't run as fast as I used to my 40's have been good so far.
Way to go Boys! Haven't played for a month, I'd say they did good! And I love the photos! Enjoy the last of your 30's but 40's are no sweat! Have a great day!
