Uh. Yea. My name is Leslie and I own this blog. Yes, I know you can't tell anyone is even around anymore. But we are. There is mucho-stuffo going on in my life right now and I can't wait to share it...but, can't right now. Have pictures to share, can't do that either. LOL
Not even sure anyone even cares....but. Elvis has NOT left the building!
More later...or sooner, who knows!
Have a BLESSED Resurrection Sunday!!

Fish Story
I really do have a story...not very exciting, but...
I contributed to the "keepers" with 1 croppy. I caught several other fish, but they are not worth mentioning!
I did drag 3 nice size bass to about 2 foot from the bank, every one of them "got away"! I guess I'm not that great of a fisherman...I couldn't believe it. Had a wonderful day with my hubby, f-i-l and his friend and oldest son-such a beautiful day and I think we ended up with 13 keepers. My f-i-l always has a fish fry somewhere in June so we were working towards that! We were fishing over east on the ranch where our cattle will go in a couple of weeks. It's so beautiful over there, I snapped a few neat pics. Grass hasn't really greened up yet, they are still burning and we have had no rain. Yet.

JB on his way down to the pond. Sometimes it was
very treacherous to even get to the pond.
Men on a mission!
ZB...did I mention he has grown 3 inches since November?
Yea. He is as tall as me now.
The lonely tree on burnt ground. Forcasting
storms tonite...we need the rain. That needs some
serious grass growing if cattle are going in 2 weeks!
Have a great Sunday!
p.s. I am having trouble uploading to blogger my pics that I have
"tweaked". Can someone help me????
Pwetty Pwease?

Sweet Sunday&Laundry Soap
It's a cold, cloudy, dreary day here in the Sunflower State...at least where I'm at. Boo. Hiss. I do not want any more cold weather. What happened to 84 and sunshine last weekend? No wonder we have sick cattle. I will be happy when they all get well, get gone and enjoy their lives on the ranch east of us. 20 more days...and yes I'm counting :) Love it all, but I'm tired of missing church because we can't seem to get chores done in time to make it. Never fails, seems to be a sick one or two that have to be pulled and doctored.
I'm armed and attacking my home. It's just filthy. I'm embarrassed. I've been gone too much. I apparently have not taught my boys the NEED to clean. I expect too much because I assume that all the men in my home see the EXACT same things that I see. Clothes to be folded. Trash to be taken out. Muddy boots inside the house. Fingerprints on my front glass door. Toothpaste in the sink. The giant piles of dirty clothes. The floors that need swept. The dust on the coffee table. The un-made beds. I should never assume. I already knew that. But I choose to forget. Pretty silly choice.{smile}
The boys and I were in OKC on Thursday and had a great dinner with LeAnna and little Sprig. We met up at Toby Keith's restaurant. My boys and I try to eat somewhere different each trip down. That was their choice for the day. LeAnna was kind to oblige. Such a fun time visiting and playing with Miss Sprig...she is just precious, not sure she knew what to think of the boys and I. There was a point and time while I was holding her, she did not know if she wanted to laugh or cry! So thankful for my friendship with LeAnna that all started with this darn computer! I would love to meet more of my blogger buddies!
Last weekend...my scrapbook buddies and I were discussing making our own Laundry Soap. I have a poll going..but would love to get some feedback on personal experiences with it. #1 I want to try it, but I want to use liquid-I have a front loader and liquid soap just seems to work better in it. #2 I want something that is going to work on the tough stains I fight on a daily basis(ex. cow manure, grass stains). #3 I am not going to make my own soap to use in the laundry soap. I really look forward to getting some feedback on this. I'm really interested and want to know what my best option is.
I must return to cleaning...I will now attack my boys bathroom. Pray for me-LOL!
Have a wonderful day. I'm on the road to a clean house!

Fun Weekend-Beautiful Sunrise
Slate Creek Lodge was the place to be.
A fun weekend of scrapbooking, visiting with old
friends, meeting new friends, accomplishing much,
and enjoying good food.
That's my table...pretty messy looking. But that's ok
I got ALOT done at my Scrapbook overnight trip.
This was the view we had while we scrapbooked.
Big Pond. My boys would have loved to been
out there fishing.
A few pics of some of my finished pages. I think I completed
20+ and was thrilled. So much fun with great company.
We will go back. For sure!
We got stopped by a train on our way to the
get-away. I loved all the colors of the cars
on this train and had to get a picture!
Sunday Morning...I woke up around 645. Got my shower,
Made some coffee and hoped I would see the sunrise.
It was kind of cloudy that day.
I was not disappointed.
At all.
I just love a beautiful sunrise.
Don't try to tell me there isn't a God.
Isn't he just the best artist?
I think so.

Another Year
Older.
I am knocking on the door.
of the big 4-0.
In many ways I feel older.
In other ways I can't believe I'm 39!
Until the last few years, my dear, sweet darlin
had convinced my boys that I was 4 years older
than him. LOL
I had a great birthday supper last night at my folks house.
Today, I had a good birthday dinner with 2 dear friends.
Tonite, hubby and ZB aren't feeling so great.
I am needing to continue on the laundry and house cleaning.
I need to get organized for a little scrapbook
get-a-way this weekend with some friends.
I need.I need.I need.
I want. I want. I want.
What I really need to do is get on my knees and be in prayer for those
suffering from great devastation. It is literally everywhere I look.
What I want is for everyone to know the Lord and seek his face.
Has anyone else noticed these things? I feel so guilty at times for
not doing more to win people to God.
Before I can do that...I must look at myself. Am I showing the light
of Jesus in my words/actions? Do people see something about me that is different and want
whatever it is?
I know I certainly don't Shine at all times. But I am thankful that I am a
work in progress.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3
Isn't this gorgeous? Sunset on our way home from
the basketball tournament Saturday night.
We were in the Flint Hills.
Beautiful Country.
CB's Team. He is back row, 3rd from the left.
These boys played their little hearts out!
We have been on this traveling team. Didn't get
to make it to a lot of tournaments~which was great
for us. There are three 4th graders and then six
5th graders. So we are a young team. All of our
tournaments were against 5th-6th grade teams.
We decided at the last minute to play this tournament(they had a cancellation)
haven't played in over 1 month. We had 3 games. First game was a blow out-we were
the ones blown out(let me say that the boys had not won a game all year)
The team we played had 4 boys as tall as me(5'6"ish ;). CB is the tallest
on our team at 5'ish. Second game, we play with them, it's a 1-3 point game
until about 7 mins left and we just kind of fell apart. But played MUCH better!
3rd game, playing for 5th/6th place. CLOSE game the whole time,
we get behind 3 points, we shoot a 3 pointer at the buzzer and tie the game!
O*V*E*R*T*I*M*E
2 minutes.
We win by 1 point!!!!
We were sooooooo EXCITED and so Proud!
Great effort and so much fun to watch!
Well, I should have posted a warning about LONG POST.
Be Blessed this week and better yet...BE a Blessing to someone!!
